Today saw the best maths brains at our school battle it out for the 'Great Weymouth Mathematical Challenge' title. The juniors, middles and seniors contested syndicate heats and then the middle and senior winners battled it out for the grand title. Well done to Tristan from Room 11 and Johnny from Room 18 who made it to the final. Congratulations to Tristan who won the keenly fought contest.

What a great idea - mathematical challenge. What was the prize for the winner? I enjoy working our mathematical problems, I'm not sure though that I'd work very well under the pressure of an audience and a competition though. Are you going to do something similar this year? Maybe we could have a mathematical challenge via video conference. See what Mr Fletcher says!
